What you missed last night while watching, hopefully, the final episode ever of the jersey shore

There were a lot of games last night. some haikus might be better than others. lets go!

Blackhawks beat the Flames, 3-1:
Only Kipper seems
to want to win. The rest of
the Flames just plain sucked.

Lightning beat the Leafs in OT, 3-2:
Matt Walker had to
fight twice in the first. He knocked
out Rosehill, tied Orr.

Canucks beat the Stars, 4-3:
Alex Auld tried to
toe-drag Burrows and failed. Is
Turco teaching him?

Senators beat the Blues, 3-2
:
The Senators are
the hottest team right now. What if
they had goaltending?

Capitals beat the Penguins, 6-3
:
Ovy scores, Sid scores
whatever. This game sucked
I will care in May

Kings beat the Sabres in the shoot-out, 4-3:
All the Sabres must
hate going back home after
being in SoCal.

Sharks beat the Ducks, 3-1:
Now the Sharks have a
three game winning streak, where they've
outscored others a lot.

Coyotes beat the Predators, 4-2:
Both teams have heads
as logos. Only one team
has Upshall with 3.

Red Wings beat the Wild in the shoot-out, 4-3
:
Datsyuk's breakaway
pass to Big Bert was perfect.
Backhand, weighted. Yes!

Hurricanes win over the Thrashers, 5-3:
The C does not weigh
Stall down. A trick and a win
for his first game. Nice!

Islanders beat the Panthers in the shoot-out, 2-1:
Best shift of the night
led to the Isles goal. Hit,
cycle, pass, shoot, score!

BJs beat the Bruins, 3-2:
Lucic was back, but
cost his team with a late high
stick. Tough loss, Bruins.

Flyers shut-out the Rangers, 2-0
:
Hey Torts, Gabby dropped
his gloves first, so just shut up
about honor, dick.

Colton Orr has reached the 1000 marker

Notice the refs come in and try and dismantle the fight eventually and Colton Orr says, "Hey, there's a f-ckin reason why George and I have led the league in fighting majors for the last few years, so please back away!" Such 1000 like behavior pushing the ref back.

And Tomas Kaberle putting up the best night ogf his career probably with 5 points ALL on the powerplay. It just frustrates me that he was -1. I undertsand that they were all on the PP but you couldn't at least be responsible enough to finish flat for the night or even plus 1 with 5 points bro. So soft. So soft.

And congrats to Jeff Tambo for getting his first 2 goal game of his career. I dropped him a message after I saw they had made it to overtime and told him I wanted to see more of the power move to the net. He has sick hands, sick speed but he is small. That limits his ice-time and confidence. Being on the bubble of playing consistently and being a top 6 starter kills your confidence. I would rather he play and develop what could be something terrific than Jon Sim go out there all the time. Simer is awesome in his own way but he is nearing the end of his career while the Isles are clinging to what youth they have so stick with that. Yea Jeffrey!

What you missed last night while attending the premier of "Weiner and Weiner"

2Man director/editor has some other side projects. Last night I went out to watch this:

Anyway, its Wednesday, so lets find each game's Mid-Week Monster!
Avalanche beat the Maple Leafs, 4-1: The Leafs are terrible, but I would go to games just to watch Colton Orr. They guy fought Donald Brashear the night before and then early in the first fights Koci. That's why he' s a monster.

BJs beat the Flames, 2-1: Jakub Voracek - Kid didn't get on the scoreboard, but he has a super mane of hair and hit everything that moved.

Sabres beat the Red Wings, 6-2: Tomas Vanek - 2 goals, the 2nd was super crashing the net play, which actually injured the man.

Weekend Wrap Up OR Who knew getting beat up could rally your team?

I was in Atlantic City for most of the weekend, so I missed a lot of hockey -I can't believe the Borgata didn't have the Center Ice Package! Anyway, as I was bleeding money at the black jack table I saw Daniel Carcillo pounce on a Penguin. I didn't catch who was until the replay and was surprised that Max Talbot was the other combatant. Even though Max got his ass handed to him (and black eye), that woke up his team who scored 5 unanswered goals to win the series. So the next time that some douchebag questions why fighting is in the game, use that example.

One last thing from that game - Sidney Crosby's first goal was great hand-eye coordination to knock it out of mid-air. However, he never gets that opportunity if he doesn't stop and go back to the front of the net. How many lazy players would have just glided around to the other side?

There were a lot of mid-air knock ins this weekend. Whitney had one last night. Someone else had one, I think in the San Jose game. Like I said, I missed a lot

I missed why Tortorella got all pissy. Because some one said that Staal likes to fuck Girardi? Way to preach discipline, Torts. Avery can really learn something from you. Some more questions from the Rangers/Caps series:

  • How come it took so long for Washington to figure out that Lundqvist has a weak glove?
  • Did Colton Orr get flagged for a horst collar tackle in Sunday's game?
  • Where is Nik Zherdev?
  • Who sat so Voros could play on Sunday?

Can someone please fill me on the Western Conference games from the weekend?

-Bress
