So Bob McKenzie tried to ruin my weekend

Bob tweeted that the Bruins are looking to dish Marc Savard to Toronto in order to free up salary. Savard's makes $4MM against the cap. Great value right? I realize that the Bruins have too many centers and no cap space but can it really be that bad? Shoot Michael Ryder in the foot and wipe out his $4MM cap hit.

And until the Bruins make a terrible mistake and deal Savard for nothing please don't fuck with my emotions, Bob McKenzie.

Congrats if you were drafted this weekend. If we are still doing this blog in 5 years(let's hope not) we'll revisit the picks and find out who really won. Until then we can all be proud how many Americans were picked.

Instead of letting Bob McKenzie drain my bucket let's be happy. While this video is about last week's soccer game it's really worth seeing.

There's nothing like twisting and turning an entire game and then in one moment being lifted off your feet. Landon Donovan with a very Parise like finish. Magic.

Soccer isn't my favorite sport in the world but anything that gets a crowd of people ripping into a USA chant is fine by me.

Hold onto your seats for July 1st.

Weekend Wrap Up OR When will we see some double OT?

Penguins are up 2 games to 1 over the Senators. Crosby's doing it all, as usual. Lets take a look at the shift that pretty much defines him as a player:

Ken Daneyko said some interesting about this - that Spezza should actually back of Sid a little, so that he can't get turned out so quickly.

Flyers are up 2 games to 1 over the Devils.

Parise did some magic Friday night

And then the Devils wasted a throwback Marty effort last night as Carcillo won the game in OT.

The Red Wings/Coyotes series has to be the fastest series. The yotes are up 2-1. I love this goal:

Capitals and the Canadiens had a wild one Saturday night as the Caps tied up the series 1-1.

Some people are saying that Gomez, by fighting, actually sparked the Caps. However, the Canadiens were already on their heels at this point, giving up 2 straight goals. I'm fine with Gomez trying to re-energize his team. He can't stop this Backstrom shot. No one can.

Bruins and Sabres are tied up at one game apiece. Same with the Predators and Hawks and the Canucks and Kings

The Sharks are being so spring shark-like:

Olympic weekend recap or Hearbreaking

Two weeks of excellent skill, high energy games, and just pure awesomeness is over. Both medal games were terrific - featuring comebacks and passion and everything we love about hockey.

The see-saw bronze medal game had the Slovaks storming out in the second period to take a 2 goal lead to the final frame. However, in the third, Olli Jokinen showed up scored 2 goals in like twelve seconds to ultimately win the game for the Finns. His second goal was a breakway that he put five-hole. The pass to spring him on said breakaway was superb.

And last night's gold medal game. Are there words to describe it? Probably not. It was spectacular, emotional, furiously paced, everything you ever wanted to see in a hockey game and then we got overtime. Unfortunately, for us US fans, of course Sidney Crosby scored the game winner. Of course he did. When Parise put in the that rebound with 24 seconds left, the bar erupted and the tension of the US fans was lifted. We all thought we had it. But we didn't. I can't stop thinking about that game - I'm still so sad. I won't get all simmons and levels of losing, but I really thought the US was going win it. Maybe that was foolish. Heartbreaking is the best way to describe that game, but what a showing from our boys. No one (myself including) thought they would even get to gold medal game.

It was an awesome 2 weeks of hockey.

What you missed last night while you were shoveling

Canadiens beat the Capitals in OT, 6-5: The streak is over. Sick comeback by the Caps to force overtime, but sicker pass from Sergie Kostitsyn. I don't want to hear any talk, that the Caps still have a 15 game point-getting streak or whatever. It was a damn impressive winning streak, but its over. Also, how'd they disallow that Ovy goal... because Hal Gill is a pineapple with no balance?

Ducks beat the Oilers, 3-2
: I think the Oilers would play better on the road if their jerseys didn't look like nightgowns. Also, I'm so glad Bobby Ryan is American. His snap shot, far side high was a deadly snipe.

Penguins beat the Islanders, 3-1: Matt Martin got into his first NHL fight with Tyler Kennedy. Does it still count?

Avalanche beat the Thrashers in OT, 4-3
: Kyle Cumiskey's game winner in OT, was the most men's league goal I've ever seen in the NHL. After taking the puck on the wing after the opening face-off, he skated into the zone, turned to face the boards and then snuck in splitting 2 Thrasher d-man. It was pathetic - from an Atlanta perspective.

BJs shut-out the Sharks, 3-0: Steve Mason played freshman-like.

Flyers beat the Devils in OT, 3-2
: I just hope Parise gets healthy before the Olympics.

Predators beat the Rangers, 2-1: Michael Del Zotto got 2 for hooking and then 2 for talking. The Preds scored on the power play because of a terrible clear that hit another Ranger to keep the puck in the zone. Tortorella screamed at Del Zotto and benched him. What a fucking hypocrite Tortorella is. If the Rangers miss the play-offs he's got to get fired, right?

Coyotes beat the Wild, 3-2: Backstrom made better saves, but lost.

Kamis, 28 Januari 2010

What you missed last night while you were trying to mediate the Jersey Shore-MTV salary negotiations

Canucks beat the Blues, 3-2: The Canucks start a thousand game road trip because of the Olympics soon. They are playing extremely well right now. The Canucks showed some depth, that Kesler and Raymond scored.

Stars beat the Flames in the shoot-out, 4-3: Iginla wanted to fight in the first period but Ott wouldn't oblige. Later Nystrom somehow picked a fight with Frist. And then the Flames lost again.

Lightning shut-out the Canadiens, 3-0
: How did all of Victor Hedman's equipment come off?

Hurricanes beat the Rangers, 5-1
: Good news for the Rangers, they scored! Bad news for the Rangers, Lundqvist is looking terrible.

Capitals beat the Ducks, 5-1: The Caps offense was flying the entire game, so Giggy actually played well for 2 periods. There were so many good goals: Ovy walking around Niedermayer, Backstrom's sick pass and then shot from Semin on the last goal.

Wild beat the Red Wings, 5-2
: There were 3 goals in like 2 minutes in the 2nd period. Osgood was not looking too good last night either. Does Annti Mietinnen have a brother named Prroe?

Sabres beat the Devils in the shoot-out, 2-1
: I like how in the shoot-out Americans went against Miller. However, Parise and Langenbrunner were stopped by their February teammate.

Crib Notes - New Jersey Devils

I'm going cover all 30 teams. Aggressive? Not really. No information in these crib notes is new or useful.

New Jersey Devils
Last season - 1st in the Atlantic, Lost a heartbreaking 1st round series to Carolina in 7 games.
Lost defensive center, John Madden to Chicago via free agency
Lost backup goaltender (who held the fort down for a good chunk of last season), Scott Clemmensen to Florida via free agency
Lost tough guy Mike Rupp to Pittsburgh via free agency
Lost center Brian Gionta to Montreal via free agency - biggest move for the team
Signed backup goalie (who sneaky had a strong end to last season for the Islanders), Yann Denis as a free agent
Resigned - Johnny Oduya, Andy Greene, Travis Zajac, and Brendan Shanahan

Questions going into 2009-2010:
Will the Canadian Olympic camp mean that Marty finally shows up Devils camp in decent shape?
How much will they miss Brian Gionta?
Does Shanny have anything left in the tank?
How come the Devils can't sign free agents?
Will Jacques Lemaire bring back some Cup magic from 94-95?
At what point in the season will Lou Lamoriello fire Lemaire and put himself behind the bench?
How many Affliction t-shirts will I see down in Point Pleasant this weekend?

Poised for a breakout season:
Zach Parise picks up where he left off last year and puts up a mastodon-like 100+ season.

Guys on roster that I can't tell apart:
John Oduya and Bryce Salvador

If you had to buy one NJD sweater:
Grab a David Clarkson red jersey. If you don't have to pay by the letter try and fit Letourneau-Leblond on the back.

Player whose game you sneaky like:
No sneaky here. Zach Parise is an American hero. We're looking for him to be a rainmaker in Vancouver.

Players on the roster who sound best through a greasy Jersey accent:
"JP's kid, Zach Pareeezy"
"Johnny Orrduya"

Old guys:
This is a pretty old team
Shanny is 40
Marty is 37
Brian Rolston is 36
Jamie Langenbrunner is 34. I keep forgetting that he has been around for so long.

Young guys:
Travis Zajac is 24, Parise is 25 and the rest of the team is kind of old.

Tough guys:
Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond (despite having a name like a movie jewel theif) is a beast.
David Clarkson hits, fights and wants to take sean Avery's head off.

Interesting:
Marty and Sheldon Souray are co-owners of a pizza joint in Montreal called "La Pizzeria Etc."
New Jersey has more diners than any other state.

Nostalgia:
Did I mention that Jacques Lemaire is back behind the bench?

NHL 94 players:
Alexander Semak as starting C
Chris Terreri in net
Scott Stevens and Slava Fetisov on D
Billy Guerin was rated a 49 that year.

YouTube:
Parise's top 5 goals from last season. The shootout goal nearly knocked me off my chair. Sick.

As you were furiously racing out of the bottom...

Thanks for ultimate Beer Pong. Scott and Green in the aftermath of Heavy Bike on my parents driveway with a suite at the bottom.
Yea so the Bruins lost. Nemy is pissed and the bottom is still no where in sight. Stick with turkey and a chipotle mayo until we find it. It's their own fault, they should have never let it get to 7. Detroit almost blew it as well. Game 7's are game 7's for a reason. I cannot believe that Scott Walker put it in. That was a negative hemoglobin shot for Nemy. It was his girlfriends bday yesterday and when Walker scored he turned and I didn't see him again until roller hockey that is slated for later.

The level...the shear level of snap toewys that will occur later barring rain, other roller games, kids and anything else that can possibly go wrong will be immense. That court is almost like my college locker room to me. Shirts off, tits up and blockers on!
If you had to choose a Carolina Dman and a Chicago Dman who would they be? Duncan Keith, Soupy, Babchuk, Corvo, Pitkanen? Black Guerin?
Leonard continues to predict Detroits domination over the rest of the NHL. As of right now, it looks as though it will be a rematch of last years cup with Marion Hossa on the other side this time. Imagine if they lose to the Penguins? That would be ridiculous. If they win, it just shows Hossa's proper choice. Anaheim made them look human. Is Chicago really ready to beat this team 4 times? Is Pitt or Carolina? Dan Cleary got it done last night. Imagine when Datsyuk gets going and Hossa ignites? Last night was the closest that they come to losing again until the playoffs next season. Yes I know...very bullish on Detroit.

Just a simple snap toewy for the road people.

This is probably a close representation of Nemy at work today a day after a second round game 7 loss. Just pushing it as far and wide as he can.

Nemy stormed out of the bar last night better than Timmy Thomas does after a shoot-out loss. No joke! My girlfriend just kept saying the whole cab ride back, "I feel so bad for Nemy! I feel so bad for him!" Than she made me a grill cheese before bed. Gotta love hockey and gotta love that girl.

Gotta hate that there is no puck on til Sunday afternoon.

Friends of the 2man Heals and Mac are heading in to town. Well you know how that goes.

Have a safe and a healthy weekend people.

What you missed last night because you were still at work (only valid for west coasters)

Hurricanes comeback and beat the Devils, 4-3 (CAR wins series 4-3): Both the first goal of the game and the final goal were eerily similar. Maybe both times Brodeur got screened by his defenseman, maybe the shots got slightly deflected. In any case you expect the all-time wins leader to make at least one of those saves. This great game did not get as much attention as the other game7, but there were some terrific passes:
- Parise's look to Langenbruner for the Devils first goal
- Gionta's wrist shot of a pass cross ice and off the board for Rolston to one-time for the Devils third goal
-The pass to Pandolfo, who perfectly deflected it on his backhand for the Devils second goal
- Joni Pitkanen's cross zone pass to Jussi Jokinen for the one-timer to tie the game up.
Carolina has a lot to handle in a well-rested Bruins team in round 2. I'll get to my predictions and the leaders of the2Man play-off game later today.

Capitals beat the Rangers, 2-1 (WAS wins series 4-3): With that game-winning goal, Sergei Federov will recieve an honory PhD from Snipe City U. It don't know if its more or less impressive that he didn't really look up when he shot. Did he just know where he was on the ice and no the spot to put the puck?
Caps and Penguins in round 2, expect these games on NBC.

What you missed last night because the Versus feed was like the Playboy channel growing up

I missed the Vancouver/St. Louis game last night because my Versus feed was scrambled like my eggs. This morning I saw 2 people wearing Rangers jerseys on my walk to the subway. That is way more than the usual zero I see.

Canucks beat the Blues, 2-1(lead series 1-o): As I said above, I couldn't watch this game. I did see the high-lights (twice) on NHL: On the Fly this morning. The slap pass from Demitra to Sedin for the first goal is true beauty. Its an obvious pass, because of the angle, but its got to be a slap to get enough speed on it to beat a goalie five-hole. Also, when Matt Barnaby was analyzing the play on ESPN this morning he said, "you can't give Demitra that much time and space." Well Matty, it was pretty much a power play for Vancouver as Lunogo had gone to the bench on a delayed power play. Thats why he had so much time and space to pick out Sedin in the slot. Oh yea, and Luongo has give up 2 goals in his last 4 or so games. Thats not grease in his hair, thats him exuding confidence.

Penguins beat the Flyers, 4-1 (lead series 1-0): If was writing a New York Times trendwatching piece about the NHL play-offs, it would be about face-offs. See everyone knows how important face-offs are, but I would make it a times trendwatch piece, by just talking about it now and only using limited evidence - like last nights Penguins game. The Penguins won almost 65% of the draws. And with the 9 power plays they had, thats a lot of time where Philly didn't have the puck. It wasn't complete domination, but the numbers make it seem that way. Also, somehow Daniel Carcillo got in trouble. He was more invisible than Chevy Chase in that move.....

Devils beat the Hurricanes, 4-1 (lead series 1-0): This game was complete domination by the home team. Cam "hot in march" Ward was not great, but also took on more shots than a Mr. W at a high school keg party. The Devils played like an efficient machine last night. The little plays they make are so fundamentally sound. For example on Elias' snipe - he doesn't get that puck if Gionta doesn't take the right angle to get body positioning on the Canes defenseman. Also, Parise went low stick side from the goal line - how is that possible!?

Rangers win over the Capitals, 4-3 (lead series 1-0): Jose Theodore made the Rangers an offensively gifted team. Well, so did Jeff Shultz. Henrik Lundqvist plays so deep in his net, it makes me think that he never learned his angles. I've always admired the Rangers penalty kill, its seems to me the most logical and ferocious way to be a man down. Lastly, Blair Betts broke his stick sliding to block Ovy's last second shot. Thats play-off hockey.

What you missed last night because you were visiting The Rock for the first time

Last night was my first visit to the Prudential Center, the Devils new home arena. That place is gorgeous. I don't know how I'll ever be able to go back to the Coliseum. Everything is awesome, except for one weird mural where there no heads on the players.

Islanders beat the Canadiens in OT, 3-2:
Okposo will be
playing for USA in
World Championships

Flames beat the Red Wings in the shoot-out, 6-5:
Quite a game. First the
Flames come back and take the lead,
but the Wings don't die.

Devils beat the Coyotes, 5-2:
Parise got goal
number 40. Marty is
one win from Roy's mark.

Thrashers beat the Oilers in OT, 4-3:
Here's the game winner:
It was a hail mary flip pass
tipped to breakaway

Bruins beat the Senators, 5-3:
I love slap shot goals
on breakaways. I also
love glove high snipes, Phil.

Lightning win over the Maple Leafs, 4-1:
Stamkos seems to have
developed great chemistry
with Marty. Don't trade?

Capitals win over the Flyers, 2-1:
Ovechkins stats were:
One game winner, one assist
and EIGHT freaking hits!

Rangers beat the Predators, 4-2:
Guess what everyone?
The Rangers are on TV,
AGAIN, fucking great.

Avalanche beat the Wild in the shoot-out, 2-1:
The Wild play great games
against great teams and shitty
games versus bad ones.

Blues beat the Sharks, 3-1:
On my men's league bench
someone said the Blues were the
hottest team in league.

BJs beat the Penguins in the shoot-out, 4-3:
Great comeback by the
Penguins to get at least a
point. Mason stood tall.

Stars beat the Hurricanes, 3-2:
Carolina was
hot until they lost to the
coldest team - Dallas.

Sabres win over the Panthers, 3-1
:
The Sabres have no
leadership. I don't like them.
Vokoun robbed Vanek.

What you missed last night while you were trying to wrap your head around Kyle Okposo's move

In a scrimmage last night I tried doing the Okposo shoot-out move and failed miserably. I can't rap my head around that move.
Anyway, onto Friday's Hockey Haikus (sorry for the delay today, I had busy morning at the dayjob)

Devils shut-out the Avalanche, 4-0:
Parise's goal - WOW
Brodeur is back and got the
shut-out. Jers feels good.

Maple Leafs beat the Islanders in the shoot-out, 5-4:
Tambellini can
snipe, not in-game though. Blakes spin
is bush. Witts elbow - ouch.

Panthers come back to beat the Rangers, 2-1:
Shoulders hunched, arms crossed
that is the Tortorella
losing press meeting.

Hurricanes win over the Sabres in the shoot-out, 2-1:
For teams outside of
the playoffs, these three point games
must be killing them

Capitals beat the Thrashers, 4-3:
Ovy did not score
but tried to fight the wrong guy
when he got high sticked

Bruins shut-out and dominate the Ducks, 6-0:
Hard work always beats
skill. Example... Bitz outworks
Neidermayer, scores.

Sharks beat the Senators, 2-1:
Roenicks goal is hockey
Fake shot from point is pass to
Thornton, to slot, goal.

Predators beat the Coyotes, 4-1:
All of a sudden
the Predators can score or
maybe the Yotes suck

Blues win over the Stars, 3-1:
Steve Ott always does
something and contributes on
the scoresheet... sometimes.

Blues Jackets shut-out the Oilers, 1-0
:
Big win for Jackets
and for Mason. He leads the
league in shut-outs, now.

Jumat, 20 Februari 2009

What you missed last night while you were getting ready for the trade deadline

Canucks beat the Senators, 5-2:
So Henrik is the
passer and Daniel is the
scorer. What about Alex?

Flames beat the Wild in OT, 3-2:
Gaborik would help,
at least, score in the third. He
can rest the first 2.

Stars win over the Oilers, 4-2:
The Stars ascent to
play-off position, is a
remarkable feat.

Blue Jackets beat the Maple Leafs in the shoot-out, 4-3:
Justin Pogge just is
not that good. He's no Carey
Price. That once made sense

Sharks win over the Kings, 4-2
:
The underrated
players on the Sharks are studs.
Pavelski and more.

Coyotes beat the Thrashers in the shoot-out, 4-3:
So does Carcillo's
winning shoot-out goal complete
the Gordie hat trick?

Flyers beat the Sabres, 6-2:
Mike Richards equals
fantasy stud with PIMs, goals
and assists. Nice night!

Blackhawks shut-out the Panthers, 4-0
:
The only upside
for the Panthers is that a
West team took the points.

Blues beat the Predators in OT, 2-1:
Tkachuk is a huge
fat rock in front of the net
that wont move, but scores

Devils beat the Lightning in the shoot-out, 3-2:
Parise is an
American beauty.
The new Modano?

Hurricanes beat the Islanders, 6-2
:
The score says it all
You didn't want to watch this
one. No energy.

Penguins win over the Canadiens, 5-4
:
This game had it all
High scoring third and called by
video game guy.

It's Thursday and that Grappa from last nite is coarsing thru me

So last night I went to Valentines dinner with my girlfriend because she is leaving NYC for a few weeks and we wanted to get some and so we did. Before retiring to the bedroom to talk things over we watched the conclusion of the Rangers Caps game. When Ovy went, she shouted, "Hey it's Ovalchuk!" One of the cutest things she's done. What's amazing is that I explain it to her that she has combined two Russian superstars being obviously Ovy and Kovy. I tell her, "Don't change it...ever!" One of those small good things...you know?

The two together is simply this animal of the deep.

So Paddock is blaming Murray for the Senators woes? Why? The team is having an off year, it happens. Look at the New York Islanders. You'll work it out in time. Stop pointing fingers, it helps NOBODY!!!!! The two of them should sit down with a tall glass of Jamison with a lot of ice and simply see what the two minds, (not arguing and blaming) can come up with.

How about Zach Parise, Zajac and Langenbrunner. They are Carter Beauford right now simply put. If the Devils can snag a puck-moving, powerplay point type defenseman...things get interesting over there. That team is Real Good.

They have two (A) scoring lines. A bunch of healthy lower line depth with plenty of scrappers, not to mention Marty coming back soon.
This was interesting the other day. Aside from the Dry Bulk Index (BDI) being up consistently until today for a good long while I had a moment on the subway the other day. This chubby old guy was on the platform at 34th street waiting for the train to stop. Now this cracked out (not a bum) but way messed up dude shows up on the watch the gap yellow caution line as the cubby guy shows up so they bump each other slightly. Almost as if the crazy guy wanted it to happen so he could start some shit. We get on the train and this crazy guy wouldn't let it go. He was like, "Yo don't be doin that shit to ME!" He even walked over to the guy who has his head down doing the right thing by ignoring him and pokes his glasses, like he actually touched him and the chubby guy doesn't even flinch. The crazy guy moves a few feet away and continues muttering to the guy much like I do after a bad trade or a bad men's league game. Now here's the rub...the crazy guy is out of line, clearly, it's just unecessary what he is doing and I am standing in the middle of them by one of the subway doors. What the crazy guy doesn't realize is that I JUST lost 12,000 dollars on a trade not but a few hours ago and I am piping with rage. PIPING! Like sweet saliccia right out of the ovem over a bed of rigatz. This is who is on the downtown B train.
It is not somewhat controlled sane Scotty. Its Arzonus. My chest is breathing fast up and down because I sneaky want to have to protect the chubby guy from this lunatic and release SOOO much stress. Nothing happened! However had he made a move toard the guy, with a sneaky big Aeropostale sweat shirt on like GIO would wear to conceal his Canons, I had a similar thing going on. I would have pile driven this guy so deep and hard into the shag of the subway car, that the prospects of a gun or knife never would have come out because he would have been pancaked into the floor. Matty would not have stopped laughing for a year, every morning in the shower he would laugh for a few secs if this happened.
So I'm a Lebowski, you're a Lebowski when does it end..uhh don't make a maniac out of me. In other news, the education companies finally kicked the bucket today on inline earnings from Strayer and a lower forecast from New Oriental Education. Yea..you couldn't see that coming. Steve Ott raised guidance and sees a promising outlook, and Antero Nittymaki has locked in the job in philly right now as fantasy owners sold the news in classic form as the tech heavy Nasi gave back 4%. Stop me at any point when you just can't see it anymore. Dan Lacosta? What? I just...can't.
The other night I woke Amber up in the middle of the night because of the dream I had. Back in college, in the locker room before we headed onto the ice Nemy would always be at the door with our goalie and without missing this one time all season, he would scream, "Where's Scotty?" I would hustle up to the door, than and only than would we head out to play. I woke up screaming, "I'm here!" The good ole days. Chicken quesadilla from Cosmic Cantina with Mase. Has anyone tried to drink a white russian every time Lebowski does and do the other thing when he does as well? What a game to play, what a night it was.

What you missed last night while you were organizing your t-shirts

Devils shut-out the Rangers, 3-0: This game had a lot of firsts (in a long time). First time in a long time Scott Clemenson had a shut-out. First time in a long time I've heard Eddi Olczyck say something relevant and insightful (at the end of the 3rd he correctly observed that Dubinsky was too fancy with the puck and should just get it on net, down 3 goals). As I watched Parise zoom down the ice to put away the game with an empty netter, I wondered to myself if he's this generations Mike Modano (Scotty says maybe). Truthfully, Mikey Mo was a more voractious points getter this early in his career, but the speed and saavy of Parise makes me want to call him the baby shark.

Flames beat the Canadiens, 6-2: I'm going to channel my inner Buccigross and say the song of the moment for the Canadiens is Hold On. My favorite part about this game was that TSN's preview of it was titled "Slumping Canadiens face Slumping Flames" Not only is the Montreal power play awful (do you miss Mark Streit?) - its not even even. The PP is minus (last night). Thats a problem. Also will the Canadiens make a sneaky goalie move? Bring in Khabibulin (that would be full circle).

Langenbrunner and everything after

So the week ended. The weekend started at the Tavern with Bress, Nemy and Arzellius. Throwin' back a couple of buds. Mellow yellow. Nemy has to leave early to head up to Boston tomorrow for the game with his girl. Trying to pull the early night sober how are ya. Ok! Fine! How about no Check! No! Penguins take a 3-1 lead over the Devils with about 10 to go in the third. Malkin scores a softy and I still say the Devils are SICK! Marty comes back...nuff said! I know they are going to steal this game like they did to Boston last night. I say with 30 seconds left on the clock, if the Devils tie this game, 15 shots of Jager for me, you and Ess. Nemy sneaky wants it to happen. I just know it will, they had the pressure on since the end of the first. Langenbrunner. Jeez! 15 shots! 1000 and 10,000. Cool Whhhhhhhhiiiiiip like Stewie Griffin says it with the silent H. Than he scores in OT again. He is Captain insaneous. Boston and Jers....eastern finals. Juice guys from Nantucket.

Remember coming back to beat Bryant down 6-3 with 8 to go left in the third. I do. Weindel penalty shot...ardino in OT.

Best college hockey memory - We're playing Holy Cross and some guy torched me because I thought he didn't have that shot in his bag...no respect and I got baked. They scored and the next shift...my fault completely...take the puck in the offensive zone and score. Camille comes over to me on the bench screaming...way to be a man Scotty! Way to be a man! Own up!

It's big time hockey in Jers right now....step out of the way people. Paris, Zajac...imagine my kids name..Zajac Zimmerman...lol! Elias, Gionta n Shany now. Shany is the man. Thats it...enjoy the night people...be safe!
